Kolryss
1800s
This sled is known as a "kolryss," designed for transporting approximately 600 litres of charcoal.
The sled originates from the forests northwest of Gävle and was in use until the 1950s, primarily for shorter transports between charcoal kilns and the nearest railway station. While its exact age is challenging to determine, the construction dates back to the 1800s.
The “kolryss” was generously donated by Museiföreningen Jädraås-Tallås Järnväg in Gästrikland.
