Before boarding the train, travelers would have to check in their luggage - leave it at the station's goods office. They were allowed to bring 25 kilogrammes for free. If they had more, they had to pay for excess weight

The luggage traveled on the same train but in a special luggage car. It was then available for pick-up at the destination station.

At the station’s goods office, people could also send and receive parcels weighing up to ten kilogrammes. Heavier shipments were considered freight and had to be dropped off or picked up at the goods warehouse on the station premises.
