Navvy Hut
In vast forests and wilderness areas where no other accommodation was available, railroad workers were forced to build their own huts or barracks.
They used whatever materials were found on site, such as stones, tree branches, and roofs made of turf. When the railway work was completed, the railroad workers moved on, leaving the huts to decay.
The navvy hut is a reconstruction from the early 1900s.
