Single Nailed Track
This is how the track could have been built on a particular railway at the beginning of the 1900s. The track is spiked directly onto wooden sleepers. The sleeper is notched - it has a recess that causes the rails to lean (1:20) towards the center of the track. The inclination causes the vehicles to be centered on the track.
Furthermore, railway vehicles have conical wheels which also contribute to centering them on the track.
The rail weight is just over 30 kilogrammes per meter.
